We've used Selvedge denim in a variety of pieces over the years, but we're adding another style to that list with our Selvedge Denim Baseball Hat Series.

"Selvedge" denim gets its name from the self-edge finish on either edge of the fabric that prevents fraying and unravelling. This self-fabric edge is most commonly referred to as "selvedge." It's a mark of quality and can be quickly identified by a signature stripe that runs along a seam or cuff in a garment. These stripes are usually seen at a cuffed pant leg or at the top edge of a coin pocket. Although subtle, once you're aware of it, you'll start to notice it and the range of colors that these stripes come in. This stripe can vary but traditionally it's a white stripe with a red line running through it.

Our Northweft Knitting Mills baseball hats now include the iconic selvedge stripe as a subtle detail on the adjustable strap. This raw denim fabric is tough and is meant to be put through its paces. The more you wear it, the better it looks and fits. This is especially true with these hats.

Worsted wool naturally repels stains, dust, and odors. Spot clean with cool water. For full washing, dry clean with a heritage cleaner or gently hand-wash in cold water with wool detergent, press out water in a towel without wringing, and dry flat away from heat.
